Ford has long produced some of the most popular vehicles on the road, from the F150 to the Fusion. But without a doubt, one of the brand’s most iconic cars is the Mustang. The vehicle that introduced the pony class of cars is a mainstay on roads from Utah to the East Coast. And Mustang enthusiasts are about to get a thrill from a new limited-edition collaboration between Ford and Petty’s Garage, based off the extremely popular Petty’s Garage Mustang GT that was displayed at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in 2014.
How “limited-edition” is this special version of the Mustang GT? Only 143 of the vehicles will be made available. The limited edition vehicle will feature reworked front and rear fascias as well as a customized interior. Perhaps the most newsworthy feature of the vehicle is the Ford Racing/Rousch supercharger that will boost the vehicle’s output to 627 horsepower.
This special version of the Mustang GT has already attracted the attention of one high-profile buyer – Brian Johnson, lead singer of famous rock band AC/DC. The limited production of this vehicle means it won’t outnumber the Ford F150 on the roads of Utah anytime soon, but those who buy it will be part of a very select group indeed.
