Ford recently announced plans for a battery-electric car with a 200-mile range, doubling the current 100-mile range of the 2017 Ford Focus Electric. That means parents in West Valley City, Utah could make a round-trip visit to their son at Utah State University on one charge.
Ford aims to be one of the leaders in the electric car movement. In 2015, Ford allocated $4.5 billion to the planning, research and expansion of electric vehicles. This new class of electric cars represents the future of a vehicle that has been a pivotal part of American history for over one hundred and eighty years.
