Everything’s bigger in Texas, even Texans’ choice of trucks.
The biggest, smartest and most durable truck on the market, The Ford F-Series Super Duty was awarded the highly coveted “Truck of Texas” award at the annual Texas Truck Rodeo. Trucks like the Ford F150 have been the symbol of strength and reliability, and Texas’ award to Ford just solidifies that for the foreseeable future, Ford trucks are the best trucks to own no matter what.
“We are honored to win the ‘Truck of Texas’ Award as it underscores how the all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty lineup are the toughest, smartest and most capable trucks we’ve ever built,” Doug Scott, the marketing manager for Ford Truck Group, said. “This prestigious award from the Texas Auto Writer’s Association further solidifies Ford’s truck leadership in Texas, where F-Series continues to be the best-selling truck and build on our momentum as the top-selling truck in the United States for 39 consecutive years.”
Since 1993, this will be the 13th time that a Ford F-Series truck has won the prestigious “Truck of Texas Award.” The Ford F150 was also awarded “Best Powertrain” title, and the Ford Super Duty was awarded the best “Heavy Duty Pickup Truck.”
But what does an award in Texas mean for people in West Valley City, Utah? It means that even after 39 years of being the number one selling truck in the United States, Ford still hasn’t eased off the accelerator. The company could’ve been complacent with just being the number one selling truck in the nation, but instead they decided to innovate and try to outdo itself. Getting Texas’ top automotive honor means that Ford’s innovations aren’t going unnoticed.
So what does this Texas award mean for you? It means you can rest easy knowing that your Ford F150 or Super Duty is the best truck you could ever buy.
