Ford’s expanding efforts to create more environmentally-friendly vehicles has continued to gain recognition. The Ford F150 was recently recognized as the greenest standard pickup by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, while the Focus Electric was listed as one of the top 12 greenest vehicles for 2015. The C-Max Hybrid also received recognition as a “Greener Choice.”
Making vehicles more fuel efficient provides great benefits to both consumers and the environment. Greener vehicles allow drivers to travel farther distances between gas station stops, while also creating a smaller impact on the natural world. Drivers from Utah to the East Coast can appreciate the chance to save money on gasoline while also knowing they are helping the earth.
With initiatives such as EcoBoost engine technology and other innovations, Ford is determined to continue finding new ways to make its vehicles more environmentally friendly. One prime example of this philosophy is the 2015 F150. Thanks to its new aluminum body, the 2015 model of the Ford F150 weighs 700 pounds lighter than the 2014 model year, which helped to make it more fuel efficient than ever before. At Henry Day Ford in Utah, we are proud to offer our customers vehicles that will be friendlier to both the environment and their wallet.
